Hair and Beauty to me just came as a gift from God. I've worked with hair and beauty for many years until I moved to Brazil from Kenya in 2016. It was very hard to find a job because of the language barrier. Since I speak English I was lucky enough to find a teaching job in a language college where I taught English as a second language. The teaching job was good and fun but it was not paying enough because they pay was hourly and I had very few hours in a month. Things were hard being that I was starting life in a foreign country. All this while it never occurred to me that I could open a salon because unlike Africa where I come from, I didn't think people here use braids or hair extensions of which is the area I'm well specialised in. I have a teenage daughter and I would make her hair so beautifully that people started asking her where and who makes her hair. One day she came home with a woman who wanted me to do her hair exactly like hers. Before I knew it people were flooding in my house for my services. I then realized that the reason why I never saw anyone with braids or hair extensions is because there was no one in town who knew how to braid and those who knew had either moved to another town or comes from another town just to braid. I live in a very small town in the midst of ranches and so clients would come from all over even the neighbouring towns, villages and ranches.That is when I decided to leave the teaching job in July 2018 and opened Flor Hair and Beauty international in order to provide quality hair care to my faithful customers. Conveniently located in Pontes e Lacerda State of Mato Grosso Brazil, I offer hair care services to a wide range of happy clients at competitive market rates.
